Our Mission

The mission of the Valor Foundation is to raise private donations and to create innovative partnerships between organizations, individuals and corporate neighbors in order to support sheriff, fire, rescue and police organizations in our community where needs surpass public resources and individual public safety officers (and their families) facing needs arising from injuries, illnesses, and conditions incurred in the line of duty; and to strengthen the connection and commitment of corporate and individual neighbors to their community.

The Need for the Funds

The valor foundation was created to support our police officers and fire fighters who risk their lives for us everyday. We discovered there is a gap in support available to public safety staff and volunteers who are injured or killed in the line of duty. While other communities in the region have sources of funding, Loudoun county has no such available support.

The Valor Foundation board includes key command staff from all of the public safety agencies who consult us on a regular basis as to immediate and long term needs of this type, while protecting the privacy of the persons involved.

Examples of how the Valor Foundation funds will be used:

  • A local firefighter is injured at a fire. The Valor Foundation provides funds to purchase groceries for the family.
  • A local police officer is killed in the line of duty. The Valor Foundation provides funds to "bridge the gap" between immediate needs and insurance coverage.

IMPORTANT NOTE:
The Valor Foundation is a 501(c)(3) Non-profit Organization designed to benefit injured Public Safety Personnel in Loudoun County. All SPONSORSHIPS are considered tax deductible donations (please consult your tax advisor).
